Saga was formed in Toronto 1976 

The Brother Jim (Bass) and Ian Crichton (Gitarre), Michael Sadler (Gesang), Steve Negus (Schlagzeug) and Peter Rochon (Keyboard) realesed the self-called Album. The interplay of synthie -sound and Rock and the perfekt agreement of Guitar and Keyboard gave Saga the own musicstyle. In Canada they already were regarded as big hope and in germany it first succeed them the  breakthrough with the Album "World Apart". Two single hits like  "wind him up" and "on the Loose" are to find on it. Their adjusted sound threw them in the Top 10. The next Album "In Transit" strengthed the position of them. 1983 "Heads Or Tales" was released as high point of Saga and climed to Nr.3 in the Charts and with "The Flyer"  came the successfully single at the start. The years after the band tried to pick up at the success. Changing inside the band weaked the band. First left Steve Negus Saga after changed the Keyboarder three times.

Until the 90's Saga was in poor health then it seemed like they brought themself again. With "Full Circle" and "House Of Cards" was Saga up again. February 2003 they released their  20. Album "Marathon"  and the live-appearances were more thrilling than before
