Raimund Burke, (36) Gitarrist aus Hamburg,
Hat im Juni 2005 sein erstes Album "Get it" rausgebracht.
"Get it" ist ein stilistischer Mix aus Einflüssen von z.B. Dream Theater und Joe Satriani oder Deep Purple und Thin Lizzy. Es finden sich genauso DoubleBass-Kracher ("Break through") wie gefühlvolle Balladen ("Dedicated to...? oder "Balance") auf der CD. Also melodischer Gute-Laune-Instrumental-Hardrock. Aber vielleicht hört Ihr selber mal rein unter:

Gitarre und Bass:
... Seine instrumentale Musik erinnert an Joe Satriani, daneben wird mit vielen Metal-Versatzstücken gearbeitet. Burke beherrscht seine Strat, spielt mal klassisch inspirierte Linien à la Yngwie Malmsteen, streut bluesige Licks ein und eben jene markanten melodischen Gitarren-Melodien, wie man sie von Joe Satriani kennt...

... "Get it" bietet aber vor allem richtige Songs, die sowohl für sich alleine stehen können, aber auch im Gesamtkontext des Albums funktionieren und im Gegensatz zu vielen ähnlichen Veröffentlichungen auch für Nichtmusiker nie auch nur einen Hauch von Langeweile aufkommen lassen...

... Tolle Instrumental-Musik mit gelungenen Melodien... so ist Herrn Burke ein amtlicher Einstand zu bescheinigen...

...Raimund puts an enormous amount of feeling in his songs and doesn't end up endlessly freaking out on his guitar, so his songs are truly songs. Songs with a lot of melody and passion, sometimes smooth ("Come On"), bluesy ("Music Speaks My Mind") or even ballad-like ("Dedicated To... ?", "Balance"), sometimes faster, heavier and energetic ("Break Through", "Get It", "Friday Night", "The Day Before", "The Typewriter"), sometimes combined ("Sunny Day", "It Happened Tomorrow"). Songs to dream away on and songs to play air guitar to ;) Never songs just for musicians, always songs for any music lover, a pleasure to listen to
