Zehn Jahre lang waren Abba die Nr. 1. Sie wurden von vielen Leuten als die Nachfolger der Beatles bezeichnet. Auf jeden Fall was den verkauf der Platten angeht. 1969 traf Björn Agnetha , welche schon sang seit sie ein Kind war. Im gleichen Jahr traf Benny Anna- Frid welche ein Jazz Sängerin war. Björn und Agnetha waren von 1971 -1978 und Benny und Anna- Frid von 1978 - 1981 verheiratet. 1972 kam ihre erste single "people need love" heraus. 1973 sangen sie am Eurovision das Lied "Ring ring", gewannen aber nicht. Ein Jahr später versuchten sie es nochmal und gewannen mit "Waterloo". 1982 trennten sie sich. Agnetha und Anna- Frid brachten einige solo Hits heraus . Björn und Benny arbeiteten an dem musical "chess". 1994 kam ein neues Album mit dem Titel "Thank you for the music" heraus . 1996 bekamen sie für das Album "Gold -Greatest hits" doppel Platin. Das erfolgreichste Doppelduo aller Zeiten verkaufte bis jetzt über 360 Millionen Tonträger Auch wenn die Band 1982 einfach aufhörte und damit ihre Fans frustrierte , so bleibt die Legende ABBA immer am Leben.
